Economic impact of COVID-19: Buhari meets Zainab, Sylva, Emefiele and Kyari

President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday met with Minister of Finance, Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed; Minister of State for Petroleum, Timipre Sylva; Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Godwin Emefiele and Group Managing Director (GMD) of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) Mele Kyari

According to Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, the President received briefings in respect of the economic impact of COVID-19 from the team in the State House on 2nd April, 2020.

Also confirming the report, the President in his social media page said “As a government, we are very mindful of the impact of the COVID-19 outbreak on the lives and livelihoods of Nigerians, and on the national economy.

“In that regard, I just received a briefing from the Minister of Finance, Minister of State for Petroleum, CBN Governor and GMD, NNPC.”
