Mrs Olubunmi Adelugba, Speaker Ekiti State House of Assembly Speaker, has urged Christians to demonstrate the sacrificial love of Jesus Christ in their relationship with individuals and country as a whole
Adelugba made the call in a statement issued by her Special Adviser on Media, Odunayo Ogunmola and made available to newsmen in Ado-Ekiti.
The Speaker who used the opportunity to congratulate Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebration urged the faithful to celebrate in moderation.
Adelugba said Easter was significant because the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ made the salvation of man possible
She added that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a proof of God’s ultimate power in the affairs of man.
She urged Christians to abide by the injunctions of the Lord Jesus Christ and to always align by the will of God to live rewarding lives.
Adelugba congratulated Christians for the successful completion of the 40-day Lent which culminated in the Passion Week and peaked with Easter.
The Speaker equally urged Christians to always pray for peace, progress, prosperity, security and stability of Ekiti State in particular and Nigeria in particular.
She further urged them to celebrate Easter with moderation and extend hands of fellowship to adherents of other religions.(NAN)
