Several young persons on Monday embarked on partisan protest against the continued absence of Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu at the state secretariat of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akure, the capital.
The convergence of the protesters forced operatives of the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police to be on standby and watch closely.
The protest was held on the premises of the PDP secretariat while being barricaded by the security operatives.
Publicity secretary of the PDP in Ondo State Kennedy Peretei alleged that the security operatives did not allow other youths who wanted to join the protest to enter the secretariat premises.
