▪︎As moves to arrest him fell through
An agitator for Oodua Republic, Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, on Friday raised the alarm over an attempt by security operatives to arrest him on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
In a viral video shared by former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, Sunday Igboho, who was half dressed, was surrounded by some of his supporters amid the dramatic moves by the security operatives.

Fani-Kayode said in a tweet that he had spoken with Igboho on the incident.
He warned the federal government against unlawfully arresting and detaining Igboho.
His words: “Let me also send a warning to the FG that Sunday Igboho is a hero to millions of Yorubas and either killing him or detaining him unlawfully would be the biggest mistake they could make. Building bridges,dialogue& peace is better than violence and war.A word is enough for the wise.
“I just spoke to my brother Sunday Igboho. He told me there was a violent attempt to arrest him this afternoon (Friday, February 26) by a joint team of soldiers, DSS operatives and policemen numbering about 40 on the Ibadan/Lagos Expressway whilst he was on his way to see Baba Ayo Adebanjo in Lagos.”
