Don’t let me die, Ngozi Nwosu seeks N30m for surgeries

Nollywood actress Ngozi Nwosu has appealed to Nigerians for financial support as she battles an undisclosed health condition.

The actress made the appeal in an Instagram collaboration post with fellow actors Ayo Adesanya and Emeka Okoye. In the video, she was seen lying in a hospital bed and said she has been admitted for three weeks.

“I’ve been hospitalised now for three weeks, please the pain has gone beyond my control, I need your help, don’t let me die,” she said.

“I’m begging you my fans and family don’t let me die because I am going through a lot of pain. I have like three surgeries to go.”

The accompanying caption stated that she urgently needed life-saving surgeries and called on the public not to ignore the post.

“My fans, friends, family and colleagues, this was really hard for me to do, but I can’t keep quiet anymore. I need urgent life-saving surgeries,” the caption read.

“Please don’t scroll past. Share this post and support if you can. God bless you and may you and yours never experience this affliction.”

The post added that the total amount needed for all surgeries is N30,000,000 and listed account details: Nwosu Ngozi Mary 6955527149 Moniepoint MFB. It also directed supporters to contact her legal representative and management for more details.

Ngozi did not disclose the nature of the illness or where she is receiving treatment.

The actress previously faced a serious health challenge in 2012 when she was diagnosed with kidney-related complications and a heart condition. At the time, she publicly sought financial assistance for treatment abroad.

Then Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola contributed N4.5 million towards the surgery after public donations had fallen short of the required amount. She was subsequently flown to the United Kingdom for treatment.

In later interviews, the actress said she was initially told she had kidney failure in Nigeria, but doctors abroad found that only one kidney had been affected. She credited the support she received from the Lagos State Government and members of the public for helping her survive that period.

Ngozi Nwosu is widely known for her roles in Yoruba and English language films and television productions, including the sitcom Fuji House of Commotion.
