▪︎Votes out clause for more women Reps in Legislature
The House of Representatives on Tuesday voted out the quest to give constitutional life pension to the President of the Senate, Speaker of the House of Representatives and their respective Deputies.
While 162 voted yes for the clause to be expunged , 3 persons abstained from the voting exercise.
Also, the Bill (clause) seeking additional seats for women in State Houses of Assembly and federal Legislature failed to get 2/3 majority.
13 members didn’t vote while 208 voted against the clause out of 302 members.
