A faction of the Peoples Democratic Party [PDP] loyal to Minister of Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Nyesom Wike, has begun its State Congress ij Benin to elect its state executive.
Last week, another faction elected Tony Aziegbemi as its state party chairman.
Addressing the Congress before the election, South South Vice Chairman of the PDP, Chief Dan Orbih, accused former Governor Godwin Obaseki of destroying the party in Edo State.
Orbih said the members had the authority to reposition the party with their votes.
