The Rivers State Independent Electoral Commission (RSIEC) has set August 9, 2025, for fresh Local Government Council Elections.
RSIEC chairman, retired Justice Adolphus Enebeli, announced the date during the unveiling of the election timetable and guidelines in Port Harcourt on Wednesday.
He emphasized the commission’s commitment to a free, fair, and impartial election, urging political parties to follow the rules.
