Apparently strategic and deploying a large dose of political legerdemain in governance effort at stabilising the polity, President Bola Tinubu is in the middle of a novel meeting at the Presidential Villa.
He has launched a jaw-jaw with the Class of 1999 governors- those with whom he governed the states of the Federation at that intersection (in 1999).
He was Lagos State Governor from 1999 to 2007.

Although THE CONCLAVE has yet to confirm whose idea or at whose behest the meeting was convened and consummated; the meeting is one of the most significant yet in dealing with post-general election tension.
President Tinubu, who is looking towards forming a government of national unity and competence, needs the critical support of all stakeholders in the Nigeria Project.
The amalgamation or aggregation of the Class of 1999 governors is quite instructive amid ongoing judicial process to validate the outcome of the 2023 presidential poll.
The president is not one to discount any support no matter how little it may be.
It is against that backdrop that THE CONCLAVE sees the meeting holding at the council chambers as consequential.
In attendance at the meeting of former Governors: James Ibori ( Delta State), Donald Duke (Cross River), Niyi Adebayo (Ekiti), Lucky Igbinedion (Edo), Orji Uzor Kalu( Abia ), Sam Egwu (Ebonyi).
Check out the others: Chimaroke Nnamani (Enugu), Ibrahim Saminu Turaki (Jigawa), Adamu Muazu (Bauchi), Obong Victor Attah (Akwa Ibom), Olusegun Osoba (Ogun), Bisi Akande (Osun), Ahmad Yerima (Zamfara), Jolly Nyame (Taraba), Attahiru Bafarawa (Sokoto) and Joshua Dariye (Plateau).

It is a gathering of the tribe of political elements who straddled the political landscape at the states in 1999.
Already, a member of the Class of 1999 governors, Senator George Akume, is the Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
More of them may be onboarded in the Tinubu administration.
They may brief the press at the end of the meeting to explain the rationale behind their visit to the President.
