The Court of Appeal, Abuja, has affirmed Julius Abure as the National Chairman of the Labour Party.
The three-member panel of the court affirmed Abure as the national chairman of the party in a judgement delivered on Friday.
The Court upheld the earlier decision of Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court, Abuja that the Independent National Electoral Commission should accord the party under Abure all the rights and privileges of a political party duly registered in Nigeria.
The appellate court upheld the March 2024 Nnewi, Anambra State convention that produced the Abure-led national leadership.
