The Chairman, Ifelodun Local Government Area of Osun State, Hon Hassan Kamorudeen Okanlawon has called on the people of his local government to continue to demonstrate their support for Governor Gboyega Oyetola of the state for them to enjoy more dividends of democracy.
Hon Okanlawon who made this know on Thursday while addressing to some market traders at the weekly “Alamisi (Thursday) Market in Ikirun the headquarters of the local government said there is need for the people to support Mr Governor who has been running an all in-inclusive, participatory and people oriented programmes since he assumed the office.
The Ifelodun Council boss, who commended the Alamisi market traders for the conducive environment of the ancient market, enjoined them not to take payment of tax and other levies in the local government with levity, adding that there are many things to benefit under the incumbent administration in Osun hence, the complete support and coorpration of the people cannot be over emphasised.
“We must commend Governor Oyetola’s administration for its strong security architecture, which has engendered sustainable peace and stability, construction of the gigantic flyover at Ola-Iya in Osogbo the state capital which had just been opened for use by the Governor, empowerment programmes for all and sundry as well as welfare of workers and pensioners among other,” he said.
Hon Okanlawon maintained further that Gov Oyetola’s administration has done well in securing the lives and property with its decisive actions as regards the state security system, thus making Osun a peaceful state and suitable for habitation.
“I commend Mr Governor’s security policy ranging from the establishment of Amotekun Security Network to the establishment of Joint Task Force, Hunters Group of Nigeria among other security personels which are instrumental to the peace and stability enjoyed in the state.
“It’s no gainsaying the fact that our security is well guaranteed in Osun especially when considering the level of apprehension and fright enraging many parts of the country as occasioned by volatile atmosphere,” Hon Okanlawon concluded.
Accompanied the Chairman is the Secretary of the local government, Hon Wale Olatunde, the Supervisory Councillor, Hon Kilani Musibau, among other.
