DAAR communications suspends use of twitter

DAAR Communications, Operators of AIT and Ray Power FM, in compliance with the directive from National Broadcasting Commission, NBC, asking all broadcast stations in Nigeria to suspend the patronage of Twitter and uninstall twitter handles immediately, have suspended the use of Twitter to disseminate information and to gather newsworthy information and opinions from the platform.

In a statement, the Management of the stations said they wouldl challenge this in court as soon as the courts resumed and would be guided by judicial interpretation of this directive going forward.
