A customer identified as Miss Mary Udoh, is demanding the sum of N1,250,000:00 being the cost of missing big vintage luggage of expensive clothes and another sum of N5,000,000:00 as aggravated damages, for the psychological torture and extreme discomfiture from God is Good Logistics a subsidiary of God is Good motors.
The customer, in a notice through her lawyer, Douglas Ogbankwa Law Firm to the company, said she sent the large luggage through waybill NO: 1072006335 on the 19th of June, 2021 at 3:44pm through the Jubilee Mall Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase 1 Terminal, which were all expressly indicated in the Waybill receipt to be delivered not later than 21st June ,2021.
She said on the 21st of June, 2021 the goods were delivered to the indicated recipient, but the full large luggage of vintage and expensive clothes, which was sent alongside the goods and which is worth N1,250,000:00 was not delivered as agreed by both parties.
The customer said she reached out to the company’s office but their staff members had been playing hide and seek and making unending promises of bringing her large luggage of vintage and expensive clothes, knowing the same to be false.
The law firm said all these episodes had caused its client tremendous psychological trauma and made her to be borrowing clothes to wear like a destitute.
The customer through her lawyer has given the Logistics company seven days within which to pay the compensation, adding that failing to do so, she would exhaust all available legal remedies including litigation in a court of competent jurisdiction and reporting the logistics company to the Federal Consumer Protection and Competitions Commission to ventilate the issues embedded in her interest on the matter.
