Northern Lions’ fielders backed their bowlers brilliantly, maintaining pressure and limiting scoring opportunities across the early overs.

Danladi Isaac attempted to rebuild the innings with a determined knock of 26 from 33 deliveries.

Northern Lions captain Okpe Sylvester led from the front with a superb spell.

Sylvester finished with remarkable figures of three wickets for just nine runs.

Beki Mubarak Kehinde added further pressure, ensuring Southern Sharks never found momentum.

Speaking after the innings, Sylvester praised his bowling unit. “Our plan was simple, attack early, stay disciplined, and force mistakes,” he said.

Chasing 90 for victory, Northern Lions approached the target with confidence and composure.

Their top order rotated the strike well, keeping the scoreboard moving despite occasional breakthroughs.

His innings included three boundaries and a towering six, energising teammates and spectators.

Captain Sylvester also contributed with the bat, scoring a quick 20 from 15 deliveries.

Southern Sharks refused to surrender without a fight and struck back with timely wickets.
