Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday night, announced 97 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 57,242 cases.
The agency also confirmed three deaths as the fatality figure increased from 1,095 on Saturday night to 1,098 on Sunday night.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-Lagos-46, Kwara-12, Rivers-11, Adamawa-4, Niger-4, Ogun-4, Osun-4, Ekiti-3, Imo-3, Kaduna-3, Plateau-2 and FCT-1.
The data from the health agency disclosed that 138 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, 7,575 are still active cases while a total of 48,569 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
