COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 418 new cases, three new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday night, announced 418 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-113, FCT-86, Abia-47, Kaduna-39, Rivers-27, Katsina-22, Benue-14, Oyo-13, Kano-12, Enugu-8, Edo-7, Imo-7, Bauchi-6, Ebonyi-6, Ogun-6, Ondo-4 and Nasarawa-1.
The agency said three new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure rose from 1,194 on Saturday to 1,197 on Sunday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 240 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 66,090 while 5,888 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Sunday included 74 community recoveries in Kaduna State, 49 in Lagos State, 29 in Abia State and 20 in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
