COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 281 new cases, three new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 281 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-123, FCT-64, Kaduna-38, Imo-15, Rivers-11, Plateau-8, Ogun-5, Bayelsa-4, Kwara-4, Bauchi-3, Edo-3, Kano-2 and Osun-1.
The agency said three new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,173 on Monday to 1,176 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 148 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 63, 430 while 3,232 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Tuesday included 61 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria – 67,838.
Total discharged cases – 63,430.
Total deaths – 1,176.
