The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Friday night, announced 223 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-85, FCT-35, Akwa Ibom-24, Enugu-18, Plateau-13, Rivers-10, Abia-7, Ebonyi-6, Anambra-5, Adamawa-4, Bauchi-3, Imo-3, Ogun-3, Oyo-3, Kwara-2, Osun-1 and Taraba-1.
NCDC also explained that two deaths from Imo State as reported on Thursday were reported erroneously, adding that Akwa Ibom numbers were reported from over the course of the last month.
The agency said no new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure stood at 1,154.
The data from the agency disclosed that 96 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 2,733 cases were still active in the country.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria- 63,731.
