Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday night, announced 221 new cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19), bringing the total number of infections in the country to 53,021 cases.
The data from the health agency showed that 3 persons died due the pandemic in the country within the last 24 hours as deaths figure increased from 1,007 on Tuesday to 1,010 on Wednesday.
It added that there were 11,730 active cases while 40,281 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
