The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday night, announced 162 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Gombe had the highest record of the new cases with-54, FCT-35, Lagos-26, Ogun-12, Plateau-10, Rivers-10, Kaduna-4, Ekiti-3, Edo-2, Osun-2, Bayelsa-1, Imo-1, Ondo-1 and Oyo-1.
The agency said no new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure stood at 1,144.
The data from the agency disclosed that 245 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, while 3,034 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that the Saturday report from Gombe State included confirmed and discharged cases recorded over the last month in the state.
Total confirmed cases in Nigeria- 62,853.
Total discharged- cases 58,675.
Total deaths- 1,144.
