Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 153 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 59,001 cases.
The agency said there was no new death in the country within the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure stood at 1,112.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-81, Rivers-21, FCT-11, Ogun-8, Kaduna-7, Oyo-6, Akwa Ibom-5, Osun-3, Katsina-3, Edo-2, Ebonyi-2, Nasarawa-2, Plateau-1 and Kano-1.
The data from the agency disclosed that 94 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours, 7,437 were still active cases while a total of 50,452 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
