Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 131 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 56,735 cases.
The agency also confirmed 2 deaths as the fatality figure increased from 1,091 on Wednesday night to 1,093 on Thursday night.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the new cases with-45, Kaduna-17, Plateau-17, FCT-16, Delta-6, Niger-6, Kwara-5, Oyo-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Cross River-2, Ekiti-2, Enugu-2, Osun-2, Sokoto-2, Bauchi-1, Ebonyi-1, Katsina-1 and Rivers-1.
The data from the health agency disclosed that there were 7,550 active cases while 48,092 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.
