COVID-19 Updates: NCDC confirms 126 new cases, discharges 3,442 patients, announces three deaths

Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday night, announced 126 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 56,604 cases.

The agency also confirmed 3 deaths as the fatality figure increased from 1,088 on Tuesday night to 1,091 on Wednesday night.

The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the new cases with-37, Lagos-27, Plateau-16, Kaduna-9, Abia-7, Gombe-6, Ondo-6, Imo-5, Delta-2, Ekiti-2, Kwara-2, Oyo-2, Bauchi-1, Kano-1, Katsina-1, Ogun-1 and Yobe-1.

The data from the health agency disclosed that there were 7,641 active cases while 47,872 patients had been successfully managed and discharged.

The agency said the 3,442 discharged records on Wednesday night include 2,967 community recoveries in FCT and 103 community recoveries in Kwara State managed in line with new case management guidelines.
