The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday night, announced 122 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Kaduna had the highest record of the new cases with-37, Lagos-29, Plateau-25, Ekiti-9, Rivers-5, Ogun-5, Edo-4, Kwara-4, Bayelsa-2, Bauchi-1 and Kano-1.
The agency said one new death occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,176 on Tuesday to 1,177 on Wednesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 409 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 63, 839 while 2,944 cases were still active in the country.
NCDC explained that the discharges on Wednesday included 371 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
