COVID-19 Updates: FCT tops as NCDC confirms 343 new cases, two new deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Thursday night, announced 343 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.

The health agency disclosed that FCT had the highest record of the new cases with-123, Lagos-106, Kaduna-72, Nasarawa-14, Rivers-5, Bauchi-4, Imo-4, Ogun-4, Ekiti-3, Edo-2, Oyo-2, Plateau-2, Akwa Ibom-1 and Kano-1.

The agency said two new deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the total fatality figure increased from 1,177 on Wednesday to 1,179 on Thursday.

The data from the agency disclosed that 452 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 64,291 while 2,944 cases were still active in the country.

NCDC explained that the discharges on Thursday included 142 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
