The downward trend of COVID-19 cases in Nigeria continued on Sunday night, as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 138 new infections.
The NCDC report revealed that the fresh cases which were recorded in 13 states and the FCT, took the total confirmed cases in the country to 53,865.
A State-by-State breakdown revealed the following; Plateau-55, Lagos-15, Ebonyi-11, Oyo-11, Abia-8, Anambra-7, FCT-7, Rivers-7, Kaduna-6, Ondo-5, Kwara-3, Bauchi-1, Benue-1 and Edo-1.
The Centre for Disease Control further disclosed that 199 patients recovered and had been discharged from various isolation centres in the country, indicating a total of 41,513 recoveries.
Also, 2 persons died from complications on Sunday as the nation’s fatality cases hit 1,013.
