COVID-19 Update: Nigeria’s cases hit 164,993 mark, records 81 fresh infections

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Wednesday, announced 81 fresh COVID-19 cases in the country.

NCDC said that nine patients were discharged and no death was recorded in the day under review.

It said the fresh cases were reported from 11 States, namely: Lagos-26, Enugu-13, Ogun-8, Rivers-6, Kano-6, Kaduna-5, Plateau-5, Akwa Ibom-4, Delta-3, FCT-3 and Edo-2.

As of the 28th of April 2021, a total of 2,063 persons had lost their lives to the virus in Nigeria, while 155,021 persons had recovered.

Meanwhile, a total of 1,191563 persons have been vaccinated against the virus in Nigeria, according to the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHCDA).
