Nigeria on Friday again recorded zero death from the Coronavirus Disease.
Only 39 new cases of infections were recorded in continuation of decreasing figures in tecent times.
The data from the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Friday confirmed that the number of death from the pandemic, which spread to Nigeria on February 27, 2021, remained at 2,065.
The figures, released on the Twitter handle of the NCDC showed that eight states including l the Federal Capital Territory accounted for the new cases of COVID-19 on Friday.
According to the NCDC, Lagos State led with 23 new cases, while the FCT and Kano and Zamfara States reported four new infections each.
Akwa Ibom, Gombe, Nasarawa and Plateau States all reported one case each.
In all as of Friday evening, 165,340 confirmed cases of COVID-19 had been reported in Nigeria, with 155,454 successfully treated and discharged and 2,065 deaths.
