Nigeria Centre for Dsease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 30 new cases of Covid-19 in Nigeria.
The development has raised the total infections figure to 165,370.
According to the NCDC, no deaths were recorded in on Saturday, 8th of May 2021.
The agency in its daily update on Coronavirus, said 156,250 cases had been discharged and 2,065 deaths had been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.
According to the NCDC, the new cases were reported from 3 states, with Lagos having the highest figure with 21 cases. Adamawa had 8, Rivers 1.
Meanwhile, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
