COVID-19 Update: NCDC reports 574 new cases, nine deaths

The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Monday, announced 574 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total infections in the country to 146,928 cases.
The health agency disclosed that Kwara State had the highest daily record of the fresh cases with- 98, Lagos- 81, Edo- 59, Ondo- 44, FCT- 41, Kano- 34, Ogun- 33, Kaduna- 29, Osun- 28, Enugu- 23, Rivers- 18, Delta- 16, Akwa Ibom- 15, Bauchi- 12, Imo- 10, Borno- 8, Niger- 8, Kebbi- 7, Nasarawa- 5, Gombe- 3 and Ekiti- 2.
The data from the agency disclosed that nine deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,752 on Sunday to 1,761 on Monday.
The agency said 2,171 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 123, 009 while 22,158 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that the discharges on Monday included community recoveries in Oyo (1,198), Lagos (227) and Kwara State (53), managed in line with guidelines.
