The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Saturday, announced 1,143 new cases of COVID-19, bringing the total infections in the country to 145,664 cases.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos State had the highest daily record of the fresh cases with-319, FCT-157, Kwara-90, Oyo-74, Enugu-72, Nasarawa-69, Imo-58, Osun-51, Gombe-49, Kaduna-31, Edo-23, Katsina-23, Kebbi-23, Ogun-22, Kano-19, Rivers-19, Ebonyi-18, Plateau-14, Delta-7 and Ekiti-5.
The data from the agency disclosed that 13 deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,734 on Friday to 1,747 on Saturday.
The agency said 1,533 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 120, 399 while 23,518 cases were still active in the country.
The agency explained that discharges on Saturday included 1,040 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
