Covid-19 Update: NCDC registers 55 new cases, zero deaths as countrywide infection figure hits 165,110

Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 55 bew casescof COVID-19 infections in Nigeria in the lastv24 hours.

The countrywide total is now 165,110. The agency did not post any deaths on its portal on Sunday, 2nd of May 2021.

NCDC said 155,101 cases had been discharged and 2,063 deaths had been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory of the country.

According to the agency, the new cases were reported from 8 states, with Lagos having the highest with 21 new cases.

Yobe had 19, Ogun 6, Akwa Ibom-3, Kaduna 2, Platueu 2, FCT 1, Rivers 1.

Meantime, a multi-sectoral national emergency operations centre (EOC), activated at Level 3, continues to coordinate the national response activities.
