The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday, announced 1,303 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-478, FCT-211, Nasarawa-83, Rivers-72, Kwara-42, Edo-36, Ondo-34, Benue-32, Kaduna-32, Katsina-26, Plateau-26, Kano-25, Taraba-25, Osun-22, Delta-21, Oyo-21, Niger-19, Sokoto-18, Ebonyi-17, Ekiti-14, Gombe-13, Ogun-12, Bauchi-11, Zamfara-8, Borno-4 and Jigawa-1.
The agency said 15 deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,507 on Monday to 1,522 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 917 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 99,276 while 23,501 cases were still active in the country.
The agency said the discharges on Tuesday included 542 community recoveries in Lagos State, 103 in Plateau State and 22 in Kwara State managed in line with guidelines.
