The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Tuesday night, announced 1,270 new cases of COVID-19 infections in the country.
The health agency disclosed that Lagos had the highest record of the fresh cases with-435, FCT-234, Oyo-103, Plateau-86, Rivers-71, Enugu-51, Nasarawa-41, Delta-39, Edo-39, Osun-33, Niger-31, Sokoto-23, Ondo-16, Taraba-13, Ebonyi-12, Kano-10, Abia-9, Bayelsa-8, Bauchi-7, Imo-5, Katsina-3 and Gombe-1.
The agency said 12 deaths occurred in the country in the last 24 hours, as the fatality figure increased from 1,361 on Monday to 1,373 on Tuesday.
The data from the agency disclosed that 1,083 patients were discharged in the last 24 hours as the figure of discharged cases stood at 81,574 while 19,654 cases were still active in the country.
