The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has increase the number of molecular laboratory in the country to 23.
NCDC disclosed this on a post through its social media platform on Sunday. According to the Centre, 3 new labs have been included in the molecular laboratory network for #COVID-19
NCDC listed the 3 new molecular laboratories to include University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, Port Harcourt, Rivers State University Teaching Hospital satellite laboratory, Port Harcourt and University of Benin Teaching Hospital PCR laboratory, Benin Edo State.
NCDC further stated that this development brings the number of labs in Nigeria with the capacity to test for #COVID-19 to 23
