The Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Bello Bodejo, National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, in the sum of ₦2 billion, with strict conditions.
Justice Inyang Ekwo ruled on Monday that Bodejo must produce two sureties, each in the sum of ₦2 billion.
The judge said the sureties must be “responsible individuals.”
One must own landed property within the Abuja Municipal Area Council, AMAC, while the other must present tax clearance certificates for 2023, 2024 and 2025.

The court registrar is to verify all documents before the bail can take effect.
—Travel Restrictions Imposed—
As part of the bail terms, Bodejo was ordered to surrender all his travel documents to the court.
The Nigeria Immigration Service has been notified, and he is barred from leaving the country or travelling outside the court’s jurisdiction without prior approval.
—The Charges–
Bodejo was arraigned on July 9, 2026, by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 12-count charge of money laundering involving $2.33 million. He pleaded not guilty to all the charges.
Justice Ekwo adjourned the case to October 5, 6 and 7, 2026, for continuation of trial.
Bodejo has remained in custody since his arraignment. The bail decision now sets the stage for his release once the conditions are met and verified.
