Content creator Ramat Amanosi Ayemhoma, popularly known as Fyne Ramyy, is facing a N730 million defamation suit over social media posts accusing ambassador-designate Hon. Abass Braimoh of bribery and corruption.
The case, Suit No: FCT/HC/CV/2078/2026, will come up before Hon. Justice A.O. Ebong of the High Court of the FCT, Abuja, on Sept 21, 2026.

Braimoh, Nigeria’s ambassador-designate to Hungary, filed Motion No. M/7777/2026 on May 25, 2026 through his counsel. The court granted leave to serve the originating summons and other processes on Fyne Ramyy by substituted means, including pasting on her WhatsApp and Facebook pages.
According to a sworn affidavit, Fyne Ramyy allegedly published sundry unsubstantiated and derogatory allegations on her verified Facebook page and other viral handles. The posts labeled the ambassador-designate “shameless” and claimed he was involved in collecting bribes.
Braimoh’s office said the allegations were “malicious, slanderous and completely unfounded” and were circulated across various social media platforms.

The claimant’s counsel stated the posts were published falsely, recklessly and without evidence.
They argued the claims were deliberately designed to assassinate Braimoh’s character, malign his reputation and bring him into public odium both in Nigeria and within the international diplomatic community.
“The Ambassador-designate has never engaged in any corrupt practices, bribery or any act unbecoming of a public officer or diplomat representing the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” the statement said.

Fyne Ramyy was reportedly arrested by police and taken to Abuja for questioning over the publications.
Braimoh’s office said it has issued legal instructions for formal proceedings and made a formal demand for N750 million in damages for the “severe injury caused to the reputation of the ambassador-designate,” alongside a public retraction and unreserved apology.
The office also warned the public to desist from sharing, forwarding or amplifying the libelous videos and posts.
It said continued circulation could attract legal consequences under Nigerian defamation law.
“The office remains resolute in protecting the integrity of the diplomatic representation of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and will pursue all available legal remedies against the dissemination of verified falsehoods,” it added.
