Certain categories of civil servants are now to be at work three times in a week from next week, according to the State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu.
Sanwo-Olu made this disclosure on Thursday on a programme: “Sanwo-Olu Speaks” [an interactive programme with Lagos people] during which he answered questions on his stewardship.
Sanwo-Olu said civil servants on levels 1 to 14 would be at work only three times a week.
He said other categories, including teachers, would get other forms of support to be at work five times in a week.
He said this measure and others to be adopted by the government were to ameliorate the hardship in the country.
Sanwo-Olu equally announced a 25 percent cut in the cost of transportation beginning from this weekend.
He said the state was also awaiting 300 trailer loads of foodstuff, adding that modalities had been put in place to ensure the items got to those who really needed them.
