Church, family members, well-wishers celebrate life and times of Madam Aishetu Ojeifo, mother of THE CONCLAVE publisher, in Owo

Family members and well-wishers on Saturday converged on Owo, Ondo State, to celebrate the life and times of Madam Aishetu Ojeifo, mother of the Publisher and Editor-in-Chief of THE CONCLAVE, Mr Sufuyan Ojeifo.

The remains of Madam Ojeifo, who died on October 12, 2024, in a brief illness, at 92, were on Friday interred at her residence in Agbede, Edo State.

The celebration of life at a reception in Owo, on Saturday afternoon, was preceded by a farewell service at the Gospel Faith Mission International [GOFAMIT], Alafia Assembly.

Pastors and church members testified of Madam Ojeifo’s act of piety, service to God, the Church, and church members whose lives she impacted positively.

The preacher, Pastor Paul Akerejola spoke on life with God in eternity, saying that even though Madam Ojeifo lived long on earth, “we all shall live longer than that in heaven with God.

“We will spend a longer time than now. I am talking about eternity, about the kingdom of God, where we will spend eternity with God.

“Mama had gone at the point of death, and her spirit had already left to be with God. Her remains were what we buried on Friday in Agbede, Edo State.”

Pastor Akerejola challenged the congregants on their preparedness for life after death.

“You who are seated here this morning, listening to this sermon, how prepared are you to meet with your creator?

“People are dying every day. We are going gradually on a daily basis. This is not our eternal home. We will go home. Remember your Creator for the Evil Day comes

“I ask you once more how prepared you are to meet with Lord eventually?”

At the celebration of life of Madam Ojeifo, which held at the Mariam Marayola Event Centre, Okedogbon Street, Owo, well-wishers from all walks of life were in attendance to identify with the Ojeifos.

The occasion was chaired by a business mogul and key player in the downstream sector, Chief Tajudeen Aderibigbe [the Nene of Owo Kingdom].

Others dignitaries who were in attendance were the Director of Publicity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Mr Steve Otaloro, Deputy Registrar at the Ruby’s Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Mr Ale Olaposi, Chairman of Dominon Group of Schools, Mr Saka Hassan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the Congresswatch magazine, Mr Emmah Adah, publisher of Prompt News, Alhaji Akeem Oyetunji, who represented the Guild of Corporate Online Publishers [GOCOP], publisher of Trojan News, Mr Erasmus Ikhide, producer of Man Around Town on Independent Radio and TV, Mr Emmanuel Akpolohor, an Assistant Director at NOTAP, Ms Gabriella Memberr, President of AMACOS 90 set, Ms Uche Odinna and ab editor with The Peoples Daily newspaper Alhaji Lateef Ibrahim, among others.
