Ose Anenih, son of the late Chief Tony Anenih, has resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Chief Anenih was chairman of the Board of Trustees of the PDP.

He played significant leadership and stabilising roles in the party before he passed.

In a letter dated August 18, 2025, addressed to his ward chairman in Edo State, Ose Anenih said the decision followed “deep personal reflection” and took immediate effect.

“This decision was not made lightly,” he wrote, recalling his long commitment to the PDP since its founding.

While grateful for his years of service, he explained that he was stepping back from partisan politics to prioritise family and other responsibilities.

“At this point in my life, however, I must step back from the arena of partisan politics. My duty now lies first with my family and with other responsibilities that demand my full attention,” he stated.

He reaffirmed that his commitment to Nigeria’s progress “remains unshaken.”

Ose Anenih expressed appreciation to the PDP leadership and members for their support, wishing the party success in its future electoral contests in Edo State.
