“In politics, we should not join those who caused us pain in the past. It should not be a do-or-die affair,” Senator Cleopas said. “We stood with the people against federal oppression in several elections in this state and we won. We will replicate the same success across the country.”

He praised the NDC’s National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for his courageous leadership and commitment to fairness.

“In the NDC, we are politicians with convictions. We stand for equity and justice. The NDC is a pan-Nigerian movement that accommodates the poor and the rich, the weak and the strong, so that no one is oppressed,” he added.

Cleopas assured the new members of equal rights and full inclusiveness in the party.

He also urged citizens to participate in the ongoing membership registration exercise to expand the party’s structure ahead of future elections.
