The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), according to emerging feelers, has debunked a report by a national daily that it has devalued the naira to N630 per dollar at the Importers and Exporters’ (I&E) window.

The CBN, as of the time of this report, was said to be working to release a statement on the report to offer clarifications.

In fact, the apex bank has already tweeted it.

Read the tweet: “Contrary to circulating news, the CBN has not devalued the Naira. We urge the public to disregard these reports. A, comprehensive statement clarifying our monetary policy will be released in due time. We appreciate your patience and understanding.”
