Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), in charge of Financial System Stability, Aisha Ahmad, has been released from the custody of the Department of State Security, DSS.
The DSS reportedly grilled Ahmad over the fraudulent acquisition of shares in Polaris Bank, Titan Bank/Union Bank.
She was said yo have made some diclosures on how Titan Bank raised $300 million to complete the acquisition of Union Bank.
Ahmad was appointed Deputy CBN Governor on October 6, 2017.
Her appointment was confirmed by the Nigerian Senate on 22 March 2018.
