Rev. Fr. Samuel Opeyemi Oyetoro, a Catholic priest, has been found dead by the roadside in Ajaokuta area of Kogi State with multiple stab wounds.
Fr. Oyetoro was born in Egbe, Yagba West Local Government Area of Kogi State and was a native of Ayetoro in Ijumu Local Government Area.
Until his death, he served at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Egbe.
According to available information, the priest was reportedly stabbed multiple times.
His lifeless body was later discovered by the roadside in Ajaokuta.
The full circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
The Police have confirmed the death and said investigations into the killing have begun. An official comprehensive statement is still being awaited.
