Buhari presides over 31st virtual FEC as cabinet honours Jimeta, two others

The late Gambo-Jimeta, who died onnJanuary 21, 2021 at the of age 83, was at various times  Inspector General of Police and National Security Adviser.

He was also Minister of Agriculture from 1995-1997.

The late Abdullahi Ibrahim, SAN, who died on January 24, 2021 at the age of 84,  was Minister of Education, Science and Technology as well as Transportation and Aviation between 1984 and 1985 when President Buhari was the military Head of State..

The honour of one-minute silence was observed shortly before the commencement of the 31st virtual meeting of FEC, presided over President Muhammadu Buhari, in the Council Chamber of the State House.

In physical attendance at the meeting were the Vice-President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha and six ministers.

The ministers who were at the meeting physically were Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed; Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami; Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, and Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Minister of State Power, Goddy Agba.

Other cabinet members and Head of Service of the Federation, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, joined in the meeting virtually from their respective offices.
