Legal luminary, Chief Oladipo Okpeseyi (SAN), has been conferred with the National honour of Officer of the Order of the Federal Republic (OFR) by the Federal Goverment.
Okpeseyi was one of the distinguished Nigerians who were honoured by former President Muhammadu Buhari in the twilight of his administration.
Buhari’s eight-year run in the presidency of Nigeria, which began on May 29, 2015 ended on Monday, May 29, 2023.
The awardees were recognised for their contributions to nation building.
Okpeseyi had contributed his quota to National stability and development while Buhari was in the saddle.
THE CONCLAVE reports that Okpeseyi is a highly regarded commercial law practitioner and a renowned Federal Government Prosecutor.
He is a high-ranking member of the National Prosecuting Coordination Committee –in charge of prosecuting all Federal Government –criminal/Anti- corruption cases.
He is also on a national assignment of global assets tracing, recovery, and repatriation of Nigerian stolen funds all over the world.
