President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Mallam Abubakar Nuhu Fikpo as the substantive Director-General of the National Directorate of Employment, NDE.
According to a statement by Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the President, Garba Shehu, before his appointment, Mallam Fikpo was acting in that capacity.
Shehu said his appointment was for a period of four years effective from 18th May, 2021.
In the same development, the President has also approved the appointment of Comrade Issa Aremu as the substantive Director of the National Institute for Labour Studies.
Shehu said before his appointment, Comrade Aremu had been a notable trade unionist who had risen through the ranks in the Trade Union hierarchy in Nigeria, adding that his appointment was for a period of four years effective from 18th May, 2021.
