President Muhammadu Mohammed has appointed Assistant Inspector General of Police, AIG, Zanna Mohammed Ibrahim, as acting Inspector General of Police, according to sundry media reports.
Ibrahim had reportedly served as commissioner of police in Delta and Zamfara State before his elevation to the rank of AIG.
Mr Ibrahim was born on November, 26, 1962, according to his biodata culled from Metrowatch.
He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies both from the University of Jos, Plateau State.
He was enlisted into the Nigeria Police Force, on 15th March, 1988.
On successful completion of training at the Nigeria Police Academy Annex, Kaduna, he was posted to Borno State Police Command, where he had a one year compulsory attachment at Biu Divisional Police Headquarters.
He thereafter served in various Commands and formations across the country.

Its now ex IGP, Adamu Mohammed,everything in life will come to pass,my previous promotion was given to me by ex IGP Solomon Arase,CPL to SGT 2016,after 4 years and some months, they release another promotion in correspond of #endsars to boost moral of policeman but where duly due for it,I can categorically said the tenure of Him did not favour me and I was not promoted because have not seen where they’ll omitted name and it’ll take one wasted year to correct there mistake like what’s happening to me or to us now,if I can remember they do omiited and under two months they’ll release it but instead of this regime to do so, they busy release promoting juniors ones by IGP sections and special promotions which is very barbaric to humanity were officers that legitimate for the rank have not see there name and you see your junior one’s hand rank and you’ll feel humiliated….
