BUA Group has expressed deep sorrow over the killing of eight operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) and a civilian driver in an attack near its Okpella facility in Edo State on Friday, September 5, 2025.
In a statement released on Saturday, the company condoled with the families of the deceased, the NSCDC, and the Federal Government, while wishing the injured officers a quick recovery.
The conglomerate also confirmed the abduction of a foreign expatriate during the incident, noting that four other expatriates were rescued unhurt.
It assured that it was working closely with security agencies to secure the safe return of the abducted victim and bring the perpetrators to justice.
