A 30th minute first half goal by Kelechi Iheanacho saw the Super Eagles edge out Egypt in their opening Group D match of the ongoing African Cup of Nations.
The Super Eagles were determined and succeeded in curtailing the Pharaohs.
Iheanacho put the Suoer Eagles in the driver’s seat as Leicester City striker, Iheanacho shot into the top-left corner for what turned out to be the only goal of the match.
Iheanacho got an assist from attacker Taiwo Awoniyi for the goal.
Egypt’s forward, Mohamed Salah, was kept silent for the most part of the match.
